About Kathryn
I began my esthetics journey over 23 years ago when my oldest child was suffering with acne. Learning how to create a skincare regimen and formulate skincare treatments for him was exciting and the results of his clear beautiful skin brought us joy! My education has helped me steer an early path to skin wellness for my youngest daughter who was born with sensitive and inflamed skin. I am in love with skin and enjoy helping my clients transform their lives by helping them learn more about their own skin health while improving their skin.
Progressive Skincare vs Aggressive Skincare
One of the best parts of my job is connecting with my clients and walking next to them on their path into skin wellness. Your skin is visual proof of a healthy lifestyle and great professional at-home skincare products. I believe that progressive skincare as opposed to aggressive skincare yields better results with very little to no down time. I can offer my clients the results they desire even while working with naturally based skincare lines. I have a passion for helping mature women and men obtain a more youthful, healthy appearance and assisting my clients suffering from acne to find relief and clear skin. I love sharing my knowledge for healthy skin habits that will travel with them for the rest of their lives.
Certifications
I had always wanted further education on how to work competently and safely on those who are, or have gone through cancer treatments. I had followed Morag Currin for nearly a decade before I took and passed her Oncology International Certification. In this course I learned much about myself as a practitioner that solidified my need to take this comprehensive course. It helped me to become an even more in-tune Esthetician.
I am a graduate of the Acne Detective Certification and am trained with Medical Esthetics by Katie Marshall. Training with this certification is ongoing and expanding to include gut health, diet, treatment protocols, and lifetime support to not only keep on learning, but a community where we have support to help our clients heal their skin without the use of medications.
I am serious about continuing my education so that I may offer my clients the very best of our ever-changing industry. I am 1 of the first 9 Estheticians world-wide to have earned the certification of Eczema Prone Skin Coach. This rigorous course taught me much about eczema-prone skin and what those who suffer with it can do to heal their bodies. Currently there is no cure for eczema, but in the meantime, I can help you learn what you can do to find your own specific triggers and create a plan to reduce and possibly eliminate your painful flare-ups.
